First Interview

It was just a couple of days back at late night, I came to know about my interview. I was delightful & privileged to know that I'm one among 8 students eligible to attend from my department. The next day ran to my college to get attestation and to complete few formalities. The day came, it took 1 and half hours of travel to reach the spot. I was blank, shivering, nervous, above all had confidence too. I was stunned to see the students gathered there like an ocean. My random guess of heads counted, would be 5000+ To my bliss, I was flying when my name been called out for clearing my 1st round of apps.

We were then sent to another block for our 2nd level of selection process, Group discussion (GD). For a moment I remembered the "Factory made" show in Discovery channel. A step-by-step process to get the product they wish *wink* I entered a room with two recruiters in the panel. My room was with 20 candidates including me. Our topic was "Unemployment in India", they gave us 5mins time to prepare, to be honest for 3mins I was thinking "I'm here sitting unemployed, what I gonna speak??" Somehow spoke, and I was selected too. I didn't have my lunch that day..! My day just ended happy :)

I reached home by 9. So much of pains after a 3 hours travel in my busy chennai. I was said, the next day would be with technical & personal HR, also articulation test. And I must report there by 8 sharp. I was totally exhausted, though my physic did not support me I didn't give up. Prepared my best till 1:30. Next day started by 6 in the morning. There were around 1000 students. Finally my turn came, I was so pressurized but didn't show up. The HR was so humble & soft. Just asked to tell about me. I said, he breaked me then & there, asked about my area of interest, my convince towards their job.

He asked me to wait for a while, after coming out I realized he neither asked me much questions on technical nor gone through my certificates. We were just interacting. Then a man came & called me, he was the one who called me inside too. He whispered, "You can leave for the day, Sorry u haven't been shortlisted". I became blank. I couldn't get what mistake I made. Simply gave a fake smile & left. I felt my whole world became dark, my blood became cold. So much of questions, frustration, struggles; these were ruling me. Many consoled, I'm thankful to those souls. That night I slept with tears & pains. But, the next day I started with a smile learning stuffs from my previous day. It was me & my friend got selected for the 2nd day. And she is placed, honestly feeling so happy for her.

Fingers crossed, "Let the end of experiences in 2012, bloom with a good career in 2013". My last blog on last day of the year. Wish u all a fabulous New year ahead. Happy 2013 :)

My life in twenty-twelve(2012)

I would like to make a post about my life this year, on this day 21 December. The date which is been rumored about the end of world. This news came around 6-7 years ago, I was doing my schooling. At that time I was the one who believed & widespread it. I still could remember all the panic faces around me, who was keenly listening to my story. Funny, I'm still alive. Well, the year for me had many ups and downs as usual. I had mixed emotions. Apart from this, I watched many good movies those impressed & touched my heart like; The Dark knight rises, English vinglish, Life of pi, Expendables-2, Neerparavai, Kumki, many more. I did and doing sketching as hobby, singing & dancing as if I lost my nuts; honestly makes me happy!

To start with, the first few months, I was badly unhappy with much hurts & pains. Was living my life just for name sake. This happened because, I’m a girl who used to adjust & compromise for everything, I just see everything from other's perspective. So won't mind even if I get hurt. But on a single issue, I don’t wanna give up. Later, unfortunately I gave up as usual. Because I don’t wanna be a burden for anyone. I’m a person who seek for happiness of people around me. I started to live happy (I try my best). I wanna deviate myself from thinking much, so engaged with many activities like being in all social sites, hanging out with friends, also I started my blog on this year only :D Now I try maximum to take things light.

Experienced a lot of stuffs this year; happiness with my whole class girls in a farm house, attended an event called TEDx to open up our minds, got a new bike, for the first time ever from my birth got diwali & birthday on a same day, happy about the excellence in my friend's life, hectic pain of being a coordinator in college symposium, met with a big accident, came to know real faces of people I trust the most, Ah mainly faced two semester exams :P many twists & turns. Sometimes smile at them, sometimes cry. Life is a big mystery. I’m just watching my life as an audience. “What wanna happen let it happen, nothing I could change” this is the thought I hold now.

On worldwide, happy for Obama to win his re-election, technologically many things being developed at a light speed. Science, we know many inventions, now people could be sent as tour to moon(provided u must pay a big sum). Many climate changes and natural disasters happened, the hurricane sandy and also a recent snow fall in Mexico. Yesterday, I went out for shop, happened to see a mentally-challenged men blabbing something and walking, 3 guys in bike were making fun at him - merciless. A heart-throbbing incident that happened recently in our country made me to think much, Woman being abused. Where our country goes? Really embarrassing. This is being happening everyday, even in newspapers they publish but somewhere at the corner that too after several pages, we are brought to notice only if it happens big. Crap!

God sake, I really don't understand why the media make it as a news. It indirectly affects the girls' life. I don't know whether it could be eradicated, only thing I suggest to girls is never feel inferior. Just be courageous, no girl is weak even physically. At that situation, I could understand it would be hard but please bring some courage and screw the idiots away. Just give a blow, you can hit with near by objects. One thing, in the whole selfish & fast-moving world no one can save you than yourself. I don't wanna say my opposite gender is completely bad. No one is perfect in this world. I know many good boys and bad girls. Thing is girls are being affected & abused enormously. Fingers-crossed for a birth of good era.

Thanks for reading about me and my views of this year. Hope you all must have a wonderful year ahead with all your wishes come true..! hope the same for me ;) Advance Happy New Year.

Tiny House, Happy Life?

Imagine stepping into a house 25 times smaller than your current abode. For the average American, that would amount to 100 square feet, a space so tiny it feels like it belongs in a tree.

That’s the way Jay Shafer has come home for the past decade. Shafer is considered something of a patriarch of the tiny house movement, a small but growing band of people who drastically shrink their living space in hopes of living a cheaper, less wasteful, and happier life.

Shafer started building tiny houses in the late 90s, attracted to the idea of living with fewer possessions. “When you live in a tiny house you only have room for the things that truly matter,” he told us when we visited his current 106-square-foot home in Sebastopol, California. “You have to choose what’s essential.”

        Shafer Tiny House

Jay Shafer's 106-square-foot tiny home in Sebastopol, California.

The tour around his house took about three minutes, and with more than one person inside, we had to flatten ourselves against walls or in doorways–actually, doorway, there’s only one–as we moved around. Inside, Shafer has a kitchen sink and stove, a full bathroom with a toilet, shower and sink, plus a living room area that triples as his office and his dining room. And to sleep? There’s a loft with sky lights that a real estate agent might describe as “cozy” or “intimate.” One person in the bed, two max. But no sitting up suddenly.

The movement has picked up momentum over the past few years. A documentary title Tiny showed one man’s process of building a compact house and transitioning to less space. Many  tiny homes are off the grid, so no one quite knows how many exist. Several companies, including the one Shafer started, Four Lights Tiny House Company, have begun selling kits to build your own house. The average price tag with materials? About $15,000.

One hundred square feet is small. But with a growing population, and finite space in cities, there’s reason to think the future will be filled with smaller, more efficient homes.

In San Francsico, we caught up with Patrick Kennedy, a developer with Berkeley-based Panoramic Interests to find out what that would mean in a city. Kennedy’s company is developing several Bay Area buildings with “micro” apartment units (“We don’t use the word tiny, micro sounds cooler,” Kennedy says).

At 290 square feet, his units are surprisingly roomy. A Murphy bed doubles as a kitchen table. The breakfast nook turns into a window seat. Otherwise you get a full kitchen, ample storage space and a full sized bathroom. Plus, a rare city find: an in-unit washer and dryer. The price tag? About $950 a month, half the rent of traditional one-bedrooms in the area.

“We’re marketing toward hipsters and service workers,” Kennedy jokes. Qualifying as neither, I could see how the opportunity to cut your apartment and your rent in half could have much wider appeal. If similar developments came to Washington D.C., I’d definitely check them out. And if I happened upon a parcel of land, the prospect of building a small house with my own hands (for under $20,000, to boot) is mighty attractive.

Both Shafer and Kennedy admit it’s not for everyone. But most people come around when they see the space and envision their lives without as much clutter. They also start dreaming about having more money at the end of each month. Although not everyone. One woman admitted to Kennedy that, yes, she could live in a 275-square-foot unit. But she’d have to rent another one for her shoes.

Things I hate about you!

I hate the way you talk to me
I hate the way you cut your hairs
I hate the way you drive your car
I hate it when you stare
I hate your big dumb combat boots
I hate the way you read my mind
I hate you so much it makes me sick, it even makes me rhyme
I hate the way you're always right
I hate it when you lie
I hate it when you make me laugh & even worse when you make me cry
I hate it when you are not around the fact that you didn't call, but mostly I hate the way
I don't hate you, not even close not even a little bit, not even at all.

Elephantfish (Callorhinchus milii)

The elephant shark, Callorhinchus milii, is a cartilaginous fish (Chondrichthyes). The strange looking Elephantfish has a hoe-shaped structure on the snout. Interestingly, studies so far have shown that the sequence and the gene order (synteny) are more similar between human and elephant shark genomes than between human and teleost fish genomes (fugu and zebrafish) even though humans are more closely related to teleost fishes than to the elephant shark.

Genome Project on Elephant Shark has launched to sequence the whole genome of the elephant shark. The elephant shark has three cone pigments for color vision (like humans). The elephant shark has a dorsal fin with a very sharp spine. The spine has been reputed to be venomous but no serious injuries have yet been reported. The genome of the elephant shark is estimated to be 910 Mb long (Mb = megabases = 1 million basepairs) which is the smallest among all the cartilaginous fishes and one-third the size of the human genome (3000 Mb).
Its most distinctive feature is a plough-shaped nose that is used to search for food on the seabed. The end of the flexible snout is covered in sensory pores that detect movement and weak electrical currents. Behind and close to the snout is a small mouth with crushing plates. The eyes are large and set high on the head, while the face of this chimaera is traced with a map of sensory mucus-filled canals. The single gill opening is immediately in front of each large sculptured pectoral fin. It is the pectoral fins that supply the animal’s primary means of locomotion.

Annual Migrations and Defence:

Males and females migrate from 200 m depths offshore to enter shallow coastal bays in spring and summer to breed. Here, females drop their golden-colored egg cases which hatch eight months later. Besides being well camouflaged, Elephant Fish defend themselves with a long serrated spine that is just in front of their first large dorsal fin. Elephant Fish often have green eyes, like the other chimaera species and deep-water sharks. When they are caught and hauled to the surface they have yet to react to the surface light and are still a startling metallic green. The body is silvery white, and sometimes has darker markings behind the eyes and on the fins.

Alternative Names:
Elephant Shark, Ghost Shark, Ghostshark, Plownose Chimaera, Reperepe, Silver Fish, White Fillets, Whitefish.

Size range:
It grows to 1.2m in length.

Distribution:
The Elephantfish occurs off southern Australia and New Zealand.

Habitat:
It lives to depths of at least 200 and 500 meters deep on the continental shelf.

Other behaviors and adaptations:
The Elephantfish has a skeleton made of cartilage. Sharks and rays also have cartilaginous skeletons.
All three groups of fishes are classified in the class Chondrichthyes.

Life cycle:
In spring, females migrate into coastal bays and estuaries to lay their egg cases in sand and muddy substrates. The distinctively-shaped egg cases are sometimes found washed ashore after storms. They are up to 25 cm long, 10 cm wide, and take up to eight months to hatch.

Economic/social impacts:
It is caught commercially in New Zealand and Southern Australia.

Classification:
Species:milii
Genus:Callorhinchus
Family:Callorhinchidae
Order:Chimaeriformes
Class:Chondrichthyes
Subphylum:Vertebrata
Phylum:Chordata
Kingdom:Animalia

Last lovable meet!

♥ It was a fresh morning, she started all way from her home to meet and spend time with me.. With fear on her face she was staring at the new place.. But within minutes seeing me, her eyes were sparkling with love..
♥ Unfortunately couldn't spend time, greeted each other and asked her to wait for some time.. With her innocent and cute expression, she nodded.. Mixed with the beautiful morning and the gentle breeze, all way humming my favorite songs she was waiting in the lawn..
♥ I was wondering what would be going in her mind where I'm filled with her name..! She was out of my sight but not from my mind.. I badly needed her to be my side.. I was thinking about the sweet times I spend with her.. so that I thought the time would pass on..
♥ Our first meet.. Her reactions when I proposed her.. It was she the one person who can make me smile instantly, even if I'm sad.. Thinking about her the time went on.. I was brought back from her memories to reality by my colleague..
♥ With lots of happiness I came running to see my girl, who was all way waiting for me more than 3 hours.. She stood up from the bench.. With a warm sweet smile on her lips, blushing on her lovable idiot.. I know I hurt and made her to be alone but still I believed that she would admit and endured everything just for me..
♥ We caught hold each other’s hand firmly.. Both were filled with love lingers.. Though I love to hear her voice.. Our eyes spoke.. When I was looking at her eyes, it was awesome to know that she already started reading mine! We had food together..
♥ Admiring me she was looking down.. I silently loved her shy looks, which were penetrating deep inside my heart..! No words can fully explain all the feelings I have for her.. A walk, were she was having her drink in one hand, and me in other, was looking around the new place like a child..
♥ Her naughty talk with winking smiles made me speechless.. The only thing running in my mind was.. She is all mine.. My better-half.. All cute thing she did simply tickled my heart.. I could give up my eternity to be with her always.. I was blissed out, to know, that a soul's care, affection, trust and love is there for me.. just for me..
♥ She, my world defined my life.. Sitting next looking at me, she was mesmerizing.. Loving each other we haven’t noticed the time.. She started shivering.. I caught her tight, which made her to chill out! But its my duty to make her safely to reach home.. So took her in my bike..
♥ One of the best moment of our lives.. A long drive with my beloved one at my back, who was secretly seeing me through the mirror.. Wished that she should be at my back as my strength to support in everything I do.. She was happily lying on me.. The gentle breeze played a melody for our love!
♥ Suddenly, we were disturbed by the bus horn.. Realized that she has to go.. With tears she saw me.. I controlled since she would never leave seeing my pain.. Dissembling, I smiled, but she understood me.. So wiped but with a sad shrink face, she nodded as a sign of bye.. I said 'I love you', which turned my angel’s sorrow to a wide smile..
♥ She got into the bus.. peeped out in search of me.. She was flying to know that I came along with the bus.. Later she forced me to leave half- heartedly..  Her glowing face in sunset, ardent lovely eyes still being as a photographic memory in my heart!

♥ We both had no idea, that it would be our last lovable meet..! ♥

Rash drivers!

Days back, I been for shopping with my sister. While returning home we just came in a share-auto. The driver was driving so rash, even after we asked him to be slow. Actually, he was competing with his fellow-driver aside! A lady got into the auto as the 4th person (last person). Unfortunately, her leg was slightly protruded outside the auto. And that bloody idiot to overcome his fellow-mate just drove the auto so close to the parking area of a shop, among which a bike hit the lady's knee, and she started bleeding. It was all way flowing towards her feet. It was so pathetic to see her, just a minute ago she got into the auto and met with an accident like this. The bike's seat, which hit her just flown away, then just imagine how fast he might have drove. He was so merciless, made all of us get down and started to make a move! Later she been taken to hospital and people near caught him to police! But just think about the lady, her pain, her blood loss. Couldn't see her cry, it was so pity. This is just one example, million and millions of accident happens everyday, among which many happens because of careless driving. Even in my own life, I met with an accident by my college bus. The same way, my driver used to drove rashly and compete with others. Once though he applied break, our bus didn't stop. It just went and hit to the opposite vehicle. The front glass were broken into sizzling bits. Thought my life could end over there. Fortunately, nothing happened big to us! Why this happens? They just compete with their parallel vehicles. It just became their mentality (I don't blame everyone, few are like this) I merely don't understand whats the bloody use of it, they simply wanna prove their co-drivers, that they are elegant and efficient in driving! Road is not the race course to compete with the vehicles aside and win laurels. I don't know whether any auto, bus or taxi driver could read my blog. (If that happens, I consider that as my boon) But who reads this will drive in your daily life. Bike, car anything just maintain a normal speed. Don't try to compete with your fellow-mates. If they do let them, let the change begin from you! Its just my humble request. Slow drive, saves life.

Earth Arts

Checkerboard Ground, London Volunteers cut a checkerboard design into the lawn at London’s National Trust Ham House Garden—the 17th-century residence of the Duchess of Lauderdale.

Celtic Horse, Slovakia This 330-by-330-foot (100-by-100-meter) geoglyph, or stone sculpture, was painstakingly built in Slovakia by Australian artist Andrew Rogers. The Celtic horse, unveiled in 2008, was modelled after the drawings on a coin found under the 12th-century Spis (accent on the s) castle.
Celestial Vault, the Netherlands  The Celestial Vault is a 98-by-131-foot (30-by-40-meter) wide artificial crater scooped out of sand dunes along the Netherlands’ coast.
Crop Circles, England Crop circles decorate a wheat field in Wiltshire County, England. This southwestern region of the U.K. is also famous for the prehistoric monument Stonehenge.
Nasca Lines, Peru
From the air, you can see ancient spiders, hummingbirds, and other creatures carved into Peruvian ground.Archaeologists and other interested parties have described them as the remnants of old roads, irrigation schemes, astronomical calendars, even as alien landing strips, or images to be admired from primitive hot-air balloons.
Palm Islands, Dubai Palm Jumeirah is one of three offshore resort and housing developments for the uber rich. Together, the islands may be the world’s largest land reclamation project, with Jumeirah alone requiring up to seven million tons of rock.

Circle in the Sand, Oregon Artist Jim Denevan rakes sand to create expansive designs that the tide will promptly wash away. This swirl, drawn on Canon Beach in Oregon in 2005, is just one of dozens of very temporary installations Denevan has imprinted on the Earth.

Spiral Jetty, Utah This work of art—called Spiral Jetty—is a seminal example of Earth or land art. Built in 1970 with mud, 6,650 tons of basalt rock, and the help of contractors, the jetty is 1,500 feet (457 meters) long.

Star Axis, New Mexico The tunnel is part of a larger sculpture called Star Axis, an 11-story concept that artist Charles Ross birthed in 1971 and started building years later.

Sun Tunnels, Utah Sun Tunnels is the configuration of four 18-foot-long (5.5-meter-long) and 9-foot-wide (2.7-meter-wide) cement pipes that have been strategically perforated to highlight celestial constellations, as well as the sun during the summer and winter solstices.

9 Technologies That Deserve To Die

1 Lie Detectors
Lie detectors offer great hand to investigation officers in cracking the case up. Contrary to accepted belief, lie detectors are not absolutely credible with the out-put results. May be this is the reason for Sharon stone’s dialogue in basic instincts about bluffing with lie detectors.

2 Cosmetic Implants
Humans obsession for looks, which is not absolutely a bad trait, had led many cosmetic techniques to pop up to puff you. The lip job, nose job, the job to enhance flesh in some areas stuffing with silicon all comes up with the price, not money but health issues. So if there could be a technology to help natural muscle to grow and shape-in the way you want, it could seriously save us from artificial, flesh imitating fill-ins.

3 Prisons
There where prisons in the time of pharaohs and are yet prevalent in today’s times. Not that the offenders of the law should be punished leniently, but the way adopted is still ancient, like restricting the offenders behind steel bars.

4 Land mines
Man always is in hunt for novel things; may have rejoiced with find of land mines. “Just plant and watch your enemies blowing into ash and dust upon placing even tender foot on land mines” could be the inventors say or the one who planted the land mines. These landmines which have failed to take enemies down are now patiently hidden to take common man or grazing animals down.

5 Nuclear weapons
Nuclear power can offer solution to present energy crises, may propel future space crafts to explore universe; it also is a dreaded power which has potential to obliterate our blue home. We have been a witnesses to biggest vile a human can commit to another human. Hiroshima and Nagasaki episode is forever etched in to our common psyche. But are we taking notice of? Can we curb our obsession to horde nuclear weapons, which has no other use than bring chaos onto us? What if a fanatic gets his hands on these weapons? These questions for sure will make you squeal.

6 Manned Spaceflight
We as human are triumphant for conquering space; stepping on the mythical, romance inciting space object, moon. More-so-ever U.S. can beat its chest like King Kong and pride on being first on moon. The space trip costs millions of dollars, and astronauts are dare devils who can risk their life for knowledge and glory. Ultimately all sums up into goal oriented space excursions, which if achieved even without sending a man in space. So there’s a call for technology which can make the astronauts space travel less dare-devil sort of exercise, or something which obsoletes the need for astronauts.

7 Incandescent Light Bulbs
These bulbs burn a tungsten coil to give out light and uncomfortable heat. The device sports look of some electric stove, inverted and a glass bulb fixed on it. The incandescent light bulbs also race power meter to compete with racing bikes, meanwhile the bill reaches sky high. These devices are yet in use especially in rural areas while innovations like compact fluorescent bulbs and light emitting diodes are now affordable and performance is for better.

8 Coal-based Powers
Coal had been that fossil fuel which led to the inception of technological and industrial growth. It powered steam engines for rail transport, steam turbines in industry for products. If the coal is yet playing active part in our day to day lives, like its use in coal power plants, and some of the industry which require high temperatures, it is a sad situation. The era which was dependent on coal as energy resource, had pristine environment which could withstand the onslaught of pollution. The coal had significantly harmed our environment ever since it was first put to use. It spews more pollutants than any other fossil fuels. Global warming, change in climates, suspended particles in air, and acid rain, are few to name the wreck coal can cause. It’s time we go beyond coal, and find other means less harmful and more productivity than coal.

9 Internal-Combustion Engine
The internal combustion engine was a ground-breaking invention, which packed power in to relatively smaller engines when compared to the sluggish, huge machines running on coal. The IC engines yet rule the roost; the vroom from F1 cars can pump your heart with excitement. The rise in fuel prices, the rising pollution, and crude oil reserves reaching dry bottom of earth are causes for concern. With all this fast changing technology being current trend of this era, why Isn’t some big change coming in to kick IC engines out. Sure hydrogen powered engines offer some hope, but this technology is yet slippery, and may take some time to root into our transportation system. Hope we get something good before gasoline or environment make living a survival.

What makes us to seek "GOOGLE"

For any information and its related stuffs we seek the largest search engine, "GOOGLE" Google is an Internet powerhouse. It is a web search engine owned by Google Inc. the most-used search engine on the World Wide Web,receiving several hundred million queries each day through its various services.

         The main purpose of Google Search is to hunt for text in Web pages, as opposed to other data, such as with Google Image Search. Google Search was originally developed by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1997.Google Search provides at least 22 special features beyond the original word-search capability. These include synonyms, weather forecasts, time zones, stock quotes, maps, earthquake data, movie showtimes, airports, home listings, and sports scores."Google Voice Search" and "Search by Image" features for allowing the users to search words by speaking and by giving images.What actually makes Google so powerful and popular? Here are some 10 useful tools;

Google E-mail:
Gmail started out as Google's internal e-mail service. When Google decided to make Gmail available to people outside of the company, it chose to take a gradual approach. At first, the only way to get a Gmail account was to receive an invitation from someone else.Google purchased the online messaging service Jaiku in 2007. Jaiku is similar to Twitter -- it's a microblog application. Jaiku users build up networks of contacts. Then they can send and receive short messages using a cell phone, computer or other device connected to the Internet.

GTalk:
Google Talk is an application that lets users send messages to each other.Google Talk client isn't entirely Web-based.Users must first download an application to their own computers in order to access its full set of features.Google Talk is also a voice over Internet protocol (VOIP) client. That means you can make PC-to-PC calls to other Google Talk users.

Google Checkout:
Many people use the Internet to shop. Some may feel nervous about giving Google their credit card information. Google stresses that it takes security and privacy very seriously. Since the merchant never sees the credit card number, there's less of a chance for someone to abuse the user's information. But it also means that Google's databases become an attractive target for hackers who want access to lots of credit card numbers.First you create a Google account, then you'll need to enhance it by providing a credit card number, billing address, shipping address and a phone number. Once you complete this step, you can go shopping.

Google Calendar:
If you don't have one, you can register for a free account. You can use Google Calendar to schedule events and invite people to participate. By sharing folders, you can compare your schedule with other users. If everyone keeps his or her calendar up to date, it's easy to avoid conflicts. A single user can open multiple calendars and view all the scheduled events in a single window. Google displays each calendar's events in a different color.

Google Docs:
The Google Docs suite marks Google's attempt at getting into the online productivity software game. Instead of saving all your data to your computer's hard drive, you save your Google Docs files to a remote Google file system. Google Docs is a good example -- to build out the suite, Google bought the following companies:

  • Upstartle, which designed the word processor Writely
  • XL2Web, creator of an online spreadsheet application called 2Web Technologies
  • Tonic Systems, the company responsible for the presentation application

Google Maps:
Google Maps lets users view maps of specific regions and get directions from one location to another. Google Maps allows users to view street maps, topographical terrain maps or even satellite views. The Google Maps feature relies on digital map images from NAVTEQ. NAVTEQ provides map data to many different clients, including in-vehicle navigation systems.A company called deCarta -- formerly Telcontar -- provides the applications that power the mapping features.

Google Earth Maps:
Google is always looking at new ways to organize and present information. One of those ways is to geotag data. Geotagging is a way of linking information to a real-world location. You view geotagged information on a map. While Google Maps could serve as a way to provide geotagged information to users, Google decided to go with an alternative.Google chose a digital globe and called it Google Earth.

Google Desktop:
Google Desktop can come in handy. It's a downloadable application Google offers free of charge. Once a user downloads and installs the application on a computer, Google Desktop goes to work. It searches and indexes the files on the user's computer. It does all this during the idle time when the computer isn't working on other things. It doesn't just index the name of a file -- it searches the contents as well.

iGoogle:
iGoogle, a freeaggregator or portal Web service. The iGoogle service allows users to select multiple applications and news feeds from across the Internet. Each user can customize his or her own iGoogle page. For example, sports fans can add applications that grab the latest scores and statistics of their favorite teams from the Internet and display them in a dedicated window on the iGoogle page. While you can choose to include Google apps like Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Docs in your iGoogle page, you aren't limited to Google applications.

Google Health:
Google's solution to this issue is to create an electronic, centralized location for your medical files called Google Health. Your doctors would transfer your files to Google's databases. Instead of having to track down the physical location of a paper file, your doctor would be able to log in to a computer and pull up your entire medical history. You don't have to worry about remembering which doctor has your file.

Being alone, without feeling lonely!

I came to this world alone, gonna leave this world alone.. In between why to be alone??

Oh my god,
What did I do.. I love to be surrounded with sweet people who loves and cares me.. You gave them.. Thank you for that.. but why did u take them back? You made me to show love on all, unconditionally..  but why I don't get back? I cry everyday, no one knows about my pain.. I smile everyday, no one knows its fake.. No one could understand my words, since they couldn't understand my silence.. It actually hurts much when some one who made me feel special yesterday makes me feel like I'm nobody today.. This normally happens in all relationships.. Love, friendship...

Oh my love,
Thought you will never leave me as you promised.. but you left.. One day I'm sure you will ask me what I love more, You or my life, and when I say My life, you will again leave me without knowing 'You are my life' If you are not for me, why? I'm thinking about you.. why? My heart beats for you.. why? My eyes want to see you.. why? In my prayers to God, I want you because I'm invited in your love,  listen my dear love, I love you ♥

Oh my friend,
My gift given by god, thought you will be with me.. But, you don't even hear me, why? now you too became busy with your love.. I don't know whether to stop you or to support.. anyway you gonna do what you wish.. I hope you still will be with be forever.. Whatever I wish you should always be good, listen my dear friend, I love you ♥

Oh my nature,
You are the one who accompany me all the time.. Have you ever felt so alone and nothing makes sense? Well, that's how I feel right now.. I'm facing everything by myself with nothing left but tears and fake smile..  Why do you kill me with memories, when I come to you to get comfort? But you hide my tears with your rain & make me chill with your zephyr.. thank you! listen my dear nature, I love you ♥

Sea sparkle - Noctiluca scintillans

Discovery:

Noctiluca scintillans – also known as “sea sparkle,” “sea fire,” “sea ghost” and any number of other delightfully romantic-sounding names are a species of dinoflagellate that feed on algae, plankton and bacteria. In December 2008, a high concentration of blue-green algae called Synechococcus prompted a higher than usual population of N. scintillans in the Gippsland Lakes. When Phil Hart embarked on his annual trek to the lakes, he and his companions discovered a blue luminescence in the water unlike anything any of them had ever seen before. N. scintillans uses its bioluminescence as a defense mechanism, lighting up when it senses a predator coming near. The ghostly glow attracts even larger predators to eat the first predator, keeping the N. scintillans safe to glow another day.

History:

Noctiluca scintillans, commonly known as the Sea Sparkle, and also published as Noctiluca miliaris, is a free-living non-parasitic marine-dwelling species of dinoflagellate that exhibits bioluminescence. The bioluminescent characteristic of N. scintillans is produced by a luciferin-luciferase system located in thousands of spherically shaped organelles, or “microsources”, located throughout the cytoplasm of this single-celled protist. Nonluminescent populations within the genus Noctiluca lack these microsources.

Distribution:

N. scintillans can be found widely distributed throughout the world, often along the coast, in estuary, and shallow areas of the continental shelf that receive plenty of light which promotes the growth of the phytoplankton that make up a large portion of N. scintillans’s diet.

Blooms:

High concentrations of their plankton food source that likely result from environmental conditions such as well-mixed nutrient-rich waters and seasonal circulation factors are implicated in population blooms of N. scintillans, known as “red tides”. Runoff from agricultural pollution may contribute to the severity of these blooms. However this is not required to cause explosive growth of Noctiluca scintillans. Not all blooms associated with N. scintillans are red. The color of N. scintillans is in part derived from the pigments of organisms inside the vacuoles of N. scintillans. For instance, green tides result from N. scintillans populations that contain green-pigmented prasinophytes (green algae, Subphylum Chlorophyta)that are living in their vacuoles. N. scintillans itself does not appear to be toxic, but as they feed voraciously on phytoplankton high levels of ammonia accumulate in these organisms which is then excreted by N. scintillans into the surrounding area which may add to the neurotoxic chemicals being produced by other dinoflagellates, such as Alexandrium spp. or Gonyaulax spp., that do result in the death of other aquatic life in the area.

Classification:

Sea sparkle belongs to the dinoflagellate group under the "protists". The protists as a systematic group is not well motivated or defined, as it is used to collect organismer that are not bacterias, fungi, plants or animals into a common group.

Reproduction:

Noctiluca scintillans reproduces asexually by binary fission and also sexually via formation of isogametes. This species has a diplontic life cycle; the vegetative cell is diploid while the gametes are haploid. The gametes are gymnodinioid with dinokaryotic nuclei.

Toxicity:
Toxic blooms of N. scintillans have been linked to massive fish and marine invertebrate kills. Although this species does not produce a toxin, it has been found to accumulate toxic levels of ammonia which is then excreted into the surrounding waters possibly acting as the killing agent in blooms (Okaichi & Nishio 1976; Fukuyo et al. 1990). Extensive toxic blooms have been reported off the east and west coasts of India, where it has been implicated in the decline of fisheries (Aiyar 1936; Bhimachar & George 1950).

It is highly unusual to see this concentration of bio-luminescent organisms anywhere in the world. The magical event was truly a breathtaking displays of nature’s unexpected beauty. I was highly impressed to see these eye-delight sea sparkler and wanna share this happiness!

Today I will make a difference

TODAY I WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
by Max Lucado

Today I will make a difference. I will begin by controlling my
thoughts. A person is the product of his thoughts. I want to be happy
and hopeful. Therefore, I will have thoughts that are happy and
hopeful. I refuse to be victimized by my circumstances. I will not let
petty inconveniences such as stoplights, long lines, and traffic jams
be my masters. I will avoid negativism and gossip. Optimism will be my
companion, and victory will be my hallmark. Today I will make a
difference.

I will be grateful for the twenty-four hours that are before me. Time
is a precious commodity. I refuse to allow what little time I have to
be contaminated by self-pity, anxiety, or boredom. I will face this day
with the joy of a child and the courage of a giant. I will drink each
minute as though it is my last. When tomorrow comes, today will be gone
forever. While it is here, I will use it for loving and giving. Today I
will make a difference.

I will not let past failures haunt me. Even though my life is scarred
with mistakes, I refuse to rummage through my trash heap of failures. I
will admit them. I will correct them. I will press on. Victoriously. No
failure is fatal. It's OK to stumble. I will get up. It's OK to fail.
I will rise again. Today I will make a difference.

Today I will make a difference.

These were the lines inspired me greatly! I would like to thank my trainers, by whom i came to know about this. I hope the readers who read this would make a difference in your life here forth!

Music is mixed in all our lives. The thing is it differs for each & every soul. The choice of our favorite and our experiences varies, but ultimately its only 'Music'. From birth till death it travels along with us in different aspects. It has the power to make you smile when you cry & cry when u smile! Even in gym they play mild music, when we do exercise to feel stress less & forget our pains! And there exist even a therapy with music!

Music therapy is an allied health profession and one of the expressive therapies, consisting of an interpersonal process in which a trained music therapist uses music and all of its facets - physical, emotional, mental, social, aesthetic, and spiritual - to help clients to improve or maintain their health. Music therapists primarily help clients improve their health across various domains by using music experiences to achieve treatment goals and objectives. It is considered both an art and a science, with a qualitative and quantitative research literature base incorporating areas such as clinical therapy, bio-musicology, musical acoustics, music theory, aesthetics of music, and comparative musicology.

I suggest  you guys to watch the movie "AUGUST RUSH" you will feel the essence of music! Music is every where around us, the only thing we should do is, "LISTEN!"

Help old aged people! Care for them.

Once i came home in share auto, the auto driver might be around 50-55 yrs old. And later a old man (may be around 70 yrs) and a teen age guy was standing in a stop. The driver asked the old man to get in and said a sorry to that guy! I was just watching this sitting at the back. He got into the auto and sat next to the driver! when he got down, he paid the money. The driver refused his money and asked him to reach home safe. He was too caring with the old man! I was pleased, seeing the auto driver reaction. I have even noted the auto number. I feel like doing some thing to the driver :) Wow! we all should learn this, at the old age every soul is like a child. Be caring & help them. God will bless us with good will. Not only the old peoples, try to be caring and affectionate with every one. Never hurt people.
